Cavallo

Cavallo means horse in Italian, in case you were wondering - I thought I'd share some of the Italian that I'm learning along with my blog posts. I haven't written in a while, but I'll give a quick recap of my past few days: Friday I made genuine tomato sauce with an Italian woman named Gaetana. Then I ate lunch with the Pastor's family, a very loud, rambunctious Italian family :-) at night we went to David's horse show. It was actually pretty cool, had lots of awesome shows - not that I know anything about horse riding... Saturday my lectures were finally uploaded, and I spent most of the day inside trying to catch up. And I skyped with Joel, so that was a big deal :-) Sunday I went to church, and sat through an Italian sermon, trying to catch words (and stay awake - I have gotten nooo sleep! My own fault... hahaha) then at night we went to David's horse show again (I'll put pictures up on facebook, it's easier than here.) and to a Pizzeria that some church members owned at a little coastal town. Today we went to the beach - WOW!! when we got there no one was there, and it was beautiful and incredibly blue. The kids loved it and are now all thoroughly sun burnt and tired :-) When we got home we ate and I went to the grocery store allll by myself, it was scary and embarrassing... I spilled milk all over, couldn't find anything, and some guy put his stuff with mine and I accidentally paid for it before I saw it... but it all worked out and then I got back safely. Then tonight we went to a festival in town... it was fun, but some guy tried to teach me how to juggle and I couldn't even figure out how to juggle two balls... so he gave up haha. They have schools for everything here - that was for a circus school, and we saw pictures from a cartoon school, haha.

Meanwhile I have been doing lots of schoolwork and God has been working in my through my devotions and my classes. I know that learning complete dependence on Him will always be an uphill climb, but I couldn't be in a better place to do that. It's nice that it is so incredibly gorgeous here though :-) Thank you all for your prayers and notes - seriously I LOVE hearing from people even if I don't always have time to write back right away! Love you guys! Time to go to bed :-)
